FSA and Dental Implants
Now Is The Time To Use Your FSA for Dental Implants!
A flexible spending account or FSA is a close cousin of the health savings account (HSA). But did you know that oral surgical procedures like mini dental implants, are eligible FSA expenses?
If you have an FSA through your employer, you know that it is essentially a special account you can put money into to use for out-of-pocket insurance costs. These funds are not taxed, meaning you’ll save an amount equal to the taxes you would have paid if you just decided to set the money aside in a different savings account. However, typically these funds need to be used within the calendar year they were saved.
Why before the end of the year? Because if you don’t use your 2022 fund benefits before 12/31/22, you lose them! Most FSA’s don’t allow roll overs to the following year. So, if you don’t use it, you will lose it. Lakeside Center for Dental Implants is reminding you that FSA’s are a great way to save on the cost of your implant procedure.
Minimally invasive dental implants are often the most effective methods for replacing an extracted tooth that had to be removed due to tooth decay or trauma. And, since dental implants are considered a protective and restorative procedure that can be used to treat potentially life-threatening infections, you are allowed to use an FSA for covering dental implant procedures.
